Shane, I might be opening a can of worms here, but I have to ask? You never posted after the Vikes lost the game (no comment from me on that) so I am wondering did you decide to be nice or did my sweet, loving, kind, smiling, wonderful, adorable, awesome niece Jody tell you not to post anything.

Who dat?

say they going to beat them Saints? This is Shane, and I heard a rumor that the Vikings are playing kind of an important game this Sunday. As much as I'd like to cheer for the Packers biggest rival and the Vikings rental quarterback Brett Favre, I just can't do it. The Saints fans call themselves the "who dat nation" and I've begun work on initiating the Milwaukee chapter of the "who dat nation". latest in Pella

Hi everyone,

First of all we are thankful for answered prayers for Den's co-worker who had a safe trip to Hatii and he and his wife were able to get their adopted daughter back home!

Other things going on for us, is that Scott moved into his apartment yesterday here in Pella. It's on Washington Street which is the main street coming into Pella. His apartment isn't far from the very first house we rented when we moved to Pella. We are thankful too that Scott will be starting his internship on Wed at Central College. He's excited about it, so that's great. He sure enjoyed his time in Chandler last weekend spending time with all of you and seeing lots of bb games.

We are also thinking of making a trip to Chandler this weekend, so maybe we'll see most of you then. Thinking of trying to make it to Travis' game on Friday night and Deidra's on Saturday night. Jana and some friends are thinking of coming too, so if we come, we will pick them up in Sioux Center on Friday afternoon and hope to make it on time to Travis' game in Edgerton Friday night. We'll then watch Deidra Saturday night and hope to have Sunday dinner with the folks on Sunday. Maybe see you there!

For those of you who haven't heard about this, there is a new song called Pants on the Ground that is huge on the internet after some guy sang it at the American Idol audition. Needless to say, he didn't move on in the competition but the song (and him) is hilarious and is about kids who wear their pants so low that they are about to fall off.

Then you cans see Brett Favre and the Vikings singing it in the locker room after the win on Sunday.

Tournament

We had a tournament on Saturday and there were only three teams. The teams were Edgerton, Worthington, and us. The first game was the girls and we played against Worthington. We had a pretty bad game and lost 10 to 30. Then the boys played Worthington and lost 17 to 38. Next the girls played Edgerton. We did a lot better in that game and only lost by 4. We were really close to Edgerton at the end but they scored and beat us 18 to 22. After that the boys played against Edgerton and lost 16 to 47.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEN!!! sorry Heather :(

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to wish Den a Happy Brithday and hope it was an enjoyable day. I am kind of hit and miss with the birthday pictures and am sorry for anyone I might have missed.

Heather, I am sorry but I am only able to get one picture downloaded from the phone to the computer. I don't know why the other ones aren't working but I can promise you I honestly did try. I will save them on the phone and not delete the pictures or the video and maybe sometime when I am home in chandler your dad can give it a try for us. It really was quite funny everyone, she asked me if she could take a picture of me and said she wanted to have it be a funny one and I was to look into the camera and "look confused", but instead of taking a picturee she was really video taping me and I am looking right into the camera making all these funny faces. So I will post the one picture I was able to download.

For those of you who dont know Scott was in Chandler for a few days and was great to see him. He came on Thursday afternoon and watched Jason, Jeremy and Heather play basketball against Edgerton Christian. The boys won, girls lost. Then that night was Travis's game against Edgerton Public and we won. I guess he hung around Chandler on Friday and plays rook with the folks and visited some family then it was an out of town game to watch Deidra play. She won :) Then today, (Saturday) the gradeschool had a tournament in Worthington so Scott was again able to watch Jason, Jeremy and Heather play some ball. I will post pictures and videos of that tomorrow and I know they will work becasue they wre taken on my camera and not my phone. I made a deal with Heather at the tournament that I would post the pictures and videos and she would blog about the games and how they did. So Heather I know i might not have been able to keep my word the last time (but I tried) so I hope you will still post tomorrow after I post the pictures and videos as I am sure your Uncle Den and Aunt Arla, cousins Shane, Jody, Jana, Tony, Danielle, Zoe, Deidra, and Jess and Darci - would love to hear about the games. So I jsut want you to know that is an awful lot of people to disappoint if you don't post how the games went, becasue after all I still plan on posting the funny video once someone figures out how to post it for me.

Aunt Vonda told me that if I wanted a video on the blog I had to write something on the blog. We went to the southwest game on thursday and while I was there Aunt Vonda and I took some pictures and videos. I told Aunt Vonda to look confused and that I was going to take a picture. Then instead I decided to do a video. Hopefully she will put that video on the blog and also some other videos of the game.

Hives - Day 2

They are doing better, but are not completely gone. I am taking extra allergy medication several times through out the day and it seems to be staying on top of it. Now, instead of big red welts, they are just smaller pathes of them and they are pinkish in color. I am hoping bty tomorrow they will disappear if I continue with the medication. Vonda

Here we go again.......

Just a short note - the hives are back again!!!! When I saw the specialist a few months ago he said if/when they come back to double/triple the allergy medication at the first signs of them returning. They started coming back a few hours ago so I took two pills and am taking a third one before I go to bed. Hopefully, they will disapear by morning or I will have to go in to the specialist because he said he wants to see them if the medication doesn't control it.

Thanks to all of you who watched and came to the game tonight. It is greatly appreciated! I'm sorry it froze up in the end so ill try to give you a breif recap. We were down 5 with five minutes left and they tried wasting time and we finally got a stop and zach huisken came down and hit a lay up. We forced a turnover on the defensive end and i came down and hit a 3 to tie it with somewhere around 2 or 2 and a half minutes left. It went back and forth for a little bit and eventually we hit the free throws to ice the game. Over all we played very very well and got better as a team and got closer as a team. If any of you are wondering about pts here is what my mom had...Zach H. had 20 first half pts and 27 total, I had 11 first half and 14 total, spencer messman had13 derek tinklenberg had 7 corey vis had 8 darwin reitsma had 3 and cody huisken had 5.

Travis/Deidra games. Deidra B-day!

Hi everyone,

Great game Travis. We got to watch most of the first half and then got to see until about 5 minutes left in the game before the computer froze. When it froze we were down by 3 or 4 and when it came back with 2.5 seconds left we were up by 1. Wow....big free throws at the end for Reitsma. I'm thankful we got to watch as much as we did, but I can't believe it froze up at the end with the big come back.

Leon, I sent you a couple of texts, but I'm not sure if you got them. You and Sharla did a great job too....we could hear you cheering every once in awhile. All positive cheering, so that's good! :)

Deidra.....happy birthday! How did your game go this afternoon?

Cold here and lots of snow too!

Den is doing pretty good. The pain is much less and he's starting to get around quite a bit better.

Has anyone heard that we are giong to have a heatwave tomorrow on Sunday????Seen on tv it's suppose to get up to 25-----isan't that great!!!!It is a beautiful bright sunny day today with temp. of 2 above.So we will see if the weather man knows what he's talking about.Hope this finds everyone healthy and well.Love Grandma ---p. s.Haven't heard from some of you in quite a while!!!!
