Allegiant Airlines

Our guests, Joe and Trudy Mesman from Chino Cal. who spent from Thursday to Sat. with us, were to fly out of S F at 8:30 last night [Sat.] finally left S F this afternoon [Sun.] and got home this evening. All motel and hotels were full with in a 60 mile radius of S F last night  as to some cycle thing going on in S F so Joe had to rent a car again and the nearest place to get a motel was in Flandreau S D. They were never given a reason why this happened!!! Found this to be rather interesting. Crazy deal I would say. grandma Caroline

company coming

Grandpa's cousin and his wife Joe and Trudy Mesman from Cal. are coming Thursday afternoon to attend his 50 year class reunion from SWCH being held in Edgerton on Friday evening. They will be staying with us during this time. On Thursday evening we are having a cousin gathering [Baker-Grandpa's Mom's side of the family] at our house after supper around 7:00. They fly out again on Sat. night. I'm sure our kids remember when they were little driving it straight through to Cal.with the seven of us in a CAR!!!! to go visit them. We would stay for 5-6 days by Joe and Trudy.  Joe and Trudy would return the visit and come this way and stay by us with their 3 boys. Those were busy times but fun times. Didn't stay in motels or eat out like we do today!!! Life sure changes from one generation to the next.
Hope everyone has enjoyed-- is enjoying or have yet to enjoy their vacations this summer. Just think we have 10 grand children and out of the 10-- six grand children will have moved in 4 and 1/2 months time this summer. Some have already moved and some have yet to move. Before we realize it summer will be over and school will begin.  Take care everyone and enjoy the rest of the summer [even though we haven't had much summer yet.] It has been a cool one so far. And the days are already getting shorter. Need to get moving and get some things done before the day is over. G grandma v w.

no one posts anymore!!!! Is everyone the same problem i was having?

I was the last one to post and that was when we celebrated grandpas Birthday March 17. Since then I've had trouble getting on to the word post. So every now and then I would try and nothing worked. So finally yesterday July 2 tried again to no avail. So I called on Heather this morning and she was so kind to come over and got me hooked up so I can now bug everyone and put on a post now and then. Now don't we all agree that we need Jess and Darci to start their own blog so we can see pictures of Sierra like we do of our other grandchildren.[hint-hint]  Here we are the 4th of July tomorrow and  already the days are beginning to get shorter and we haven't even had summer yet!!!Grandpa and I don't have any plans for tomorrow as of yet. He needs new coveralls bad [we get them at Running's] so my suggestion is to go to Worthington or Marshall as I need a few things from Walmart and  also a pile of groceries.
