I am sure you all know by now, but I thought I would "officially" share the news on the family blog. There will be a new Van Dyke entering the world at the end of September (Sept. 20). We are very excited!! And, no, we are not going to find out if it is a boy or a girl. So we will be just as clueless as the rest of you until he/she decides to make his/her big debut!
Here is what our little one looked like 3 weeks ago.
Love you all!

what a coincidence!!!!!!!
Thought this was quite interesting!!!!!When Vonda asked on face book sat.night who was all listening and watching the SWC game and where they were listening from ---lots answerd back. Later Sue Blom[Dean's wife] answered back saying they were watching it from Jason's farm by Valley Springs. Jason is the son of Dean and Sue. Dean is the son of Dick and Pauline and Dick is my brother. Dean and Sue's daughter Mara is married to a Van Otterloo and he teaches music in the Maranatha high school. So she said they had a hard time trying to decide who to cheer for!!! Grandma VW

Grandpa stayed overnight in the hospital and i was invited to stay at Earl and Marsha's house. We got home at 11:00 this morning [tuesday]through the snow falling and drifiting of the snow accross the road because of the strong winds. Didn't take long and the sun was shining,
Grandpa feels good with hardly any pain.He only had one pain pill yet--so thats good.Just had our dinner and now i need to go to the store to get a gallon of milk and will drop him off at the shop so he can walk around a little--Doc. orders. No lifting or shuving of greater than 25 pounds for 6 weeks. No tub baths or swim for two weeks or until fully healed.Other then that you are welcome to stop by any time to visit. love grandma

Grandpa [Frank]
Grandpa has had hernia problems the last few years. He has one on each side of his groin. The last while they have given him some pain plus they have grown in size.He has doctered with this for some time now and they said now we need to do something about this.So we were to the doc. yesterday and today went back to visit the surgeon. They both said they need to do surgery. The one is to big to do the 3 little holes so they will do an incision in each one. They know about the staph infection that grandpa had to deal with in the past years so they are very aware of that. The surgery is set for monday at 1:30 in Luverne by Doc. Walks.Heard reports that she is a very good surgeon. Grandpa told the surgeon to do it as soon as possible -- i just want to get it over with. So remember grandpa in your prayers. Love grandma v.w.
