We are moving to... South Dakota!

Hi All,

I received good news today that I got an internship position at the Fort Meade Black Hills VA medical center near Sturgis, SD. We are VERY excited about this news! While this site was not my top choice, it was in the top 3 (which were all very close). In psychology, there is an internship shortage, which means roughly 20% of people who apply do not get an internship. Needless to say, I am feeling very blessed to have obtained a spot AND one that I am very excited about!

The internship begins in the middle of July, so we will be moving to SD this summer. This move will help us complete a goal that we did not even know we had: to live in as many Midwestern states as possible. We will have lived in MN, IA, ND, and SD. Who knows what's next? Nebraska? Wisconsin? :)

I hope all of you in MN and SD are surviving the nasty weather. The winter will be over soon, right?

Hello everyone,

Wow....what a weekend!!!  I still have a hard time believing Kate was delivered by Jody and Shane in their car, along side the road.  We are very grateful that everything went as well as it could have!   We prayed a lot for Jody and the baby for a safe and easy delivery, but never in my wildest dreams did I ever think of this scenario.  :)
