I don't know why the next posting is way out of wack but at least you get to see the pictres. This is the close up of the car Arvin made in 1969 and this is what Deidra and him both drove in the race.
This is a pciture of an old news paper clipping of Loren driving the same car in the derby races in Chandler. Unfortunately if you look in the lower right hand corner you will see that his wheel finished the race before him. I believe that article said he placed 4th in the race. If you look closer in the backgrond you will see (I think Arvin, Cal Vander Haar, and Dave Kooiman)
The soap box derby was lots of fun to watch on Saturday.
