I went camping out at Split Rock Creek last weekend and had a great time. Scott had some classes at work so he worked day shift Thursday and Friday, so he came out Friday night and we grilled brats and then went for a kayak ride, came back grilled again :) and listened to the TWINS. Then Saturday, I just laid around in the sun and read and Travis, Julie, and Jeremy picked up Dars pizza and came out for the evening. We also did some kayaking together. It was another great night.
That brings us to Monday, my birthday and i had a good day at work - considering it was work. I had lots of birthday wishes, and had bacon sundaes from burger kinng. Yep, thats right ... bacon sundaes. We all love bacon at work and Burger King came out with bacon sundaes last week so we decided to give them a try. I would eat them again although, i would make it a bit differently then they do. They have big chunks of bacon and i would have done smaller bits and it is made with caramle and chocolate.
Then when i got back to the condo, Scott had made me a cake and even put some left over cake batter in the fridge for me. He also cleaned the condo :) which was really really really nice of him since 99% of the mess was mine.
Thursday will be an interesting day at work - as they are doing road construction on Cliff Avenue right in front of work - and we will have NO! water at all on Thursday. So the city had to brin porta potties in for some of the businesses ....LOL, so the bosses went out and bought gallons of water for coffee, washing hands etc... and tons of hand sanitizer. Ok, I am not exactly trhilled with this idea but come on now - we have breaks and lunches we can drive a few blocks and go in some of the other businesses but OH BOY! some ladies at work are having fits. It's kind of funny,
