Ok Mom, what is the details with this picture. Where was it taken? How old were you both? Were you married etc... One more question - did Dad ever officially propose to you or did it all happen gradually and you just knew you'd get married. Vonda

this picture was taken after church one sunday in front of Grandpa and Grandma Bakkers house in Edgerton.We were married and we had Arvin and Arla then already.Frank and i talked of marriage [he didn't propose] and then we made plans for a wedding.There was snow on the ground when we were married.

The wedding dress we bought at Penneys in downtown Sioux Falls --that was BIG TIME in those days as it had the first escalator in S F. The dress cost either 60.00 or 70.00 dollors.I know it was below a hundred dollors!!!! I barrowed the vail [headpiece] from Geraldine.
