Well, lets just say there sure wasn't alot of sleeping going on last night. I went to the hospital at 8:30 and they again hooked me up to all the monitors and sensors and then had me wear the apnea mask for about 20 minutes so that I could get used to it a little bit before I had to wear it that night.
At 10:30 I went to bed and attempted to sleep. The technician was in my room probably 12 times through out the night as they tried different masks and like before I moved to much so all the wires kept coming loose. Then they kept changing the air pressure in the mask so just when you got used to it one way they would change the pressure or how the air was delivered.
So this morning the tech said she "wished I would have slept better" for the tests but she feels they got enough information for the doctor to decide what mask, air pressure, and type of air delivery that would be best for me.
They are sending the information to the doctor today and I should hear within a week or two about my results and then i can go get the machine.
Overall, it really didn't bother me to wear the mask it was more an issue of trying to sleep with all the other wires attached, the interruptions etc... So I am hopefull that once I get the machine it will be a pretty smooth transition.
i didn't go into work today becasue needless to say I NEEDED TO SLEEP!
So i slept till 3:30 this afternoon.
