Hi All,
This past weekend while my parents were off having fun biking and exploring the greater parts of Minnesota, Jess and I went to Chandler to "babysit" the youngest Vander Woude sister. Apparently, even though she is now in high school she still needs someone to stay home with her (just kidding, Deidra). Jess spend most of the day Saturday doing what he does best: helping his dad on the farm, doing some electrical work, and of course, hunting! He saw 5 different deer, but none were close enough to get a good shot (he had his bow, which is a little bit more difficult than a gun). He is still hoping to get a deer sometime this season so that we can eat plenty of venicen during the winter...
Deidra and I just kinda hung out on Saturday. I got my haircut and then we played some volleyball with Jess' younger sister and a bunch of her and Deidra's friends. You know you are getting old when you are the "adult supervision," and your old high school teacher trusts you to take the keys to school and keep an eye on a bunch of adolescent girls.
Anyway, Sunday we went to church and for dinner at Grandpa and Grandma's (thanks for the food, everyone; it was wonderful!). And now, we are back to the regular life in the OC; back to work, tests, papers, and plenty of other things. We are super excited to watch Jana play on Saturday, so this week cannot go fast enough!
Hopefully everyone is having a wonderful week! See some of you on Saturday!
Darci
p.s. When and where is your first game on Saturday, Jana?
